Grain Sparrow I think of this album as a victory lap. Having spent ten years kicking absurd amounts of ass on a variety of unorthodox, barrier-bursting records, the band says, "Hold up. Yes, of course we can experiment like unhinged alchemists, pull our music this way or that way, but let's take a moment to remember our, let's call them, *core* strengths." And so they do, with six immaculate masterpiece-originals and two outrageous covers, kicking such ass in the process AS THE WORLD HAS NOT YET NUMBERED. Favorite track: All Is Clear.

snackthak Over a year on and this still is my ‘most played’ Bandcamp album. It’s perfect in so many ways, from the syncopated vocals of Blinding Owl to the groovy (and my favorite), I Have Known Love... psych-folk at its finest. Can’t recommend it enough! Favorite track: I Have Known Love (Silver Apples).
